Candle Making Workshops

Join us for the joy of an aromatherapy-filled candle making experience in our DC and Baltimore shops. 

Our monthly candle making workshops are the perfect way to unwind with and stretch your creative muscles.  

Each participant will learn the ins and outs of sustainable candle making, get to make two custom-scented all natural soy wax candles, and create their own secondary craft.

We also serve a grazing platter, locally blended tea, and wine from our neighborhood Bottle Shop to top off the perfect evening. 

Each monthly workshop offers a different theme, scents, candle style, and accompanying craft to evoke the spirit of the season.

Fall 2025 Workshops:

September: Seasonal Shifts

Make candles for the seasonal shift from summer to fall. Set intentions for the incoming season with grounding, cozy scents, and make a palo santos bundle to invite in new energy.

Dates: Sat, Sep 13 2-4pm (DC), Thurs, Sep 18 6-8pm (Baltimore)

October: Peak Harvest

Fall is candle season, and we love the scents of fall! We'll be pouring fall scents into one of our favorite vessels, mason jars, and painting pumpkins to complete our picturesque fall.

Dates: Thurs, Oct 16 6-8pm (Baltimore), Sat, Oct 18 2-4pm (DC)

November: Gather & Glow

Hosting for the holidays? Make your own candles to complete the perfect tablescape! We'll be pouring candles into cozy amber jars to set a perfect holiday mood. Plus, make your own simmer pot blend with dried herbs and florals.

Dates: Thurs, Nov 20 6-8pm (Baltimore), Sat Nov 22 2-4pm (DC)

December: The Gift of Light

One of the best ways to share your love and care for those in your world is by making your own holiday gifts. In this workshop, we'll be pouring three mini candles that will make perfect holiday gifts for your family, friends, coworkers, or book club pals. Plus, blend your own mini bath salt blend to complete the gift of a self care treat!

All materials, supplies, and instruction are included. Participants must be 18+. Refunds will not be given for cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop, but tickets can be given to another person. Contact info@habitualworkshop.com with any questions or concerns.
